Default Heavy tile

How hard is it to do tile and grout flooring? I would like to do this in our bathrooms (we have 2). I found a great deal on the tile and I think it will look sharp. I don't want to pay to get it done. Do you have to rip up the old floor?

You will want to pull up the old floor typically. I've done laminate wood flooring over vinyl flooring though.

I never was able to get the knack of tile. It hurts your knees being there for extended periods of time. And trying to get the tile perfectly flat is a pita. Tile is one of those things I would pay for. But that is me.

We had our tile installed by a cousin. He did a great job! It is backbreaking work, but it can be done. You would want to invest in those pads for your knees though. Laying the tile is a pain for sure. Grouting is the easy part.

You know I just might hire this out. I don't like the sounds of sore knees! How would you rip up your floor? I'm thinking you would take it down to the sub-floor.
