We are thinking about turning a part of the basement in to a home theater. It is pretty much wasted space at the moment. If we do undertake this project, what kind of costs and time are we looking at?

I wouldn't have a clue, but it sounds AWESOME! I WANT ONE!! LOL Seriously, without the specs, it would be hard to give an estimate. You need to know what you want in what size. Then you need to know what type of set up you want to do. For example, are you looking to have a home theater that looks like a movie theater with comfortable chairs?

Wow! I'm not sure about the cost, either but as FishHead said, it would really depend on the type of set up that you have your eye on...Also, it matters whether you're starting from scratch or planning to keep some items that you already have.
