You know those books they sell in home improvement stores that have tons of different house floor plans in them? Have you ever bought one? Did it inspire you and give you ideas you hadn't thought of? I want to build a house in a few years and I really want one of those books. I'm hoping it will give me an idea of what I want the layout to be.
I know someone who bought house plans online. Not sure what website. Then had someone modify them slightly to fit their needs. Ended up spending around $7k for the plans total. He said it is a lot less then having a custom house done.
