I need to pull up the old carpet, in the kids room, and put down some new carpet. Is there any carpet out there that is kid proof? Should I just keep the hardwood, if there is some under the carpet? What options are there, because my kids are messy!

I despise carpet! I swear, no matter what you do, the carpet ends up looking awful. I believe someone makes a carpet that is suppose to be stain proof. I say, if there is hardwood floors under the carpet, keep it! Just get a small floor rug, that will be easy to clean.

There is a type that is supposed to be stain and odor free for pets. Surely if it works on pet stain and odor, it would work for for kids. Honestly though, I would rather have linoleum for kids rooms. All types of germs are carried in on feet and you can't sanitize a carpet.
