Have you guys ever stopped by the "mistake" shelf at any home store or paint store? I have found some really good bargains in colors that have been mixed wrong for someone but were perfectly acceptable for me. I've actually thought of a lot of good ideas just by stopping by and seeing what they have available.

I have and I found some great deals too. Once they make a mistake and the color is not "just right" they have to clearance the paint. I love looking at the mistake paint and the left-over borders too. I've gotten many steals from these sections.

Yes, this is exactly what happened to me yesterday. I did not like the color that they made - it was yellow and we wanted a lime green. The gallon went into the clearance section.
