Default My trip to the paint store

Wow! I did not know there were so many brands of paint and so many kinds of paint. I had picked up some paint samples at one store and tried to get another store to make it. Of course the store I was at did not sell that brand of paint.

I think they key is to go in the morning - usually the workers have more knowledge in the mornings. This nice gentleman helped me figure it all out.

I now have paint for my daughters room (14 year old) - lime green and purple (her choice). I have white ceiling paint for her room and the bathroom and I also have paint and wall border for the downstairs bathroom.

No paint for the kitchen yet - that project is a work in process!

All in all it's coming along!

Sounds like you have a big project! As far as paint goes, stay away from Sherman Williams. According to consumer reports their quality has dropped 30% over the past 5 years. Behr is suppose to be the best, and longest lasting paint out there.

Sounds like a lot of work to me. But I love the results when it's finished. Actually, I like the purple and lime green color scheme, toned down a bit to lavender and sage green of course! :P

Wow - the room sounds like it will be bright! I love it. I would let my kids pick their own colors too.

There are a ton of different brands of paint and a lot of different types too.

When we mixed the lime green paint last night we noticed it was a bit more "runny" than the purple. We are going to give it a shot, cross your fingers that it will be green when it dries and that it does not take 10 coats!
