Default Need a new deck

And I might have found someone who I was told "can do it for half the normal price" but I am a little concerned about this. How hard is it to do on your own, can just two people do it or is is better to hire someone that can come in, clean it up and get the job done proper, even at "half price"?

I think laying a deck down isn't as easy as it sounds. I would put a basic frame down, then lay all my timber down and nail it with a gun to save time. I've seen on T.V you should get an angle grinder and make them all one length at end of the job, that way they're all the same size. I would personally leave it to the professional's- they know what they're doing. I've tried to save money in the past and it ALWAYS bite me in the bum.

I would rather have the professionals. Someone who would give me a guarantee and would make things right if something goes wrong with the job. I've had cut rate things done before and it always winds up costing me more in the end.
