My daughter and I tried to lay down 2 tiles this morning in the kitchen. These 2 tiles had come up a couple of weeks ago and I thought what the heck we can do it. Oh my - what a mess! I'm glad I did not have to do the whole floor.

Happymom, I admire you. I would never had the guts to try something like that. I am always afraid I would mess it up. On the other hand, my sister-in-law just refinished her fireplace with some tiles and it came out very nice. I wish they lived closer. If I had someone like her that knows how do do stuff, I might get the courage to try.

I would love to have a fieldstone floor in my entry way. We have some beautiful fieldstones on our property that are as flat as a floor and beautiful colors. I would love to use those since they are on our property anyway.

I too would love fieldstones! We just had the stick tile and it was a pain. My hubby just did our bathroom floor and he complained almost the whole time. He even sliced his finger.
