Default New Tub 'cover'

I'm not really sure what they call it but it 's the new thing they have when they cover over your old tub. They can also do it for showers. Has anyone had that done here and if so, were you happy with it?

I've seen commercials for those companies. It looks a lot easier and cheaper than replacing the whole thing. My biggest concern would be moisture getting trapped between the two, but I'm sure they make sure it is properly sealed.

I would love to have one of those. My tub is so old, it has been discolored over the years and it looks awful. It looks dirty no matter how much I've scrubbed. I think one of the companies names is something like BathFitter?

I have seen it before and we thought about doing it but decided to go ahead and fix our tub instead. It needs jacked up and properly based then refill with the caulk line, otherwise its brand new.

I have had bath tubs repainted before. It came out great, they even put in anti-slip floor. Never tried any covers though.
