Default Outside Wood Burning Furnaces?

Have you seen the outside wood burning furnaces? I've been looking at them and they would be a very, very economical option for someone who lives out in the country. You burn wood in the furnace, the lines, which are buried deep in the ground, send the heat through a fan into the house. You can also hook up your water heater to it and have hot water. It would certainly cut down on heating cost for us.

I've never seen one of those. Do they sell a lot of them? How much is wood selling for. I would have to buy wood from someone. I don't think I could cut wood for myself.

I've heard great things about them. They say the pellet ones work the best. Here in Florida the return is not great on them though. I wish they could do something like that but for cooling.

Wow! That sounds wonderful! I would love to have one. Our house is all electric and we have enormous bills in the winter for heating cost.

These are much less efficient than having a wood stove directly in your home. I haven't researched these in a couple of years, but last time I looked into them we decided not to go with them because they were not at all a "green" option.
