Default Paint brands

When you shop for paint, do you have a specific brand you always go with? Or do you choose by available colors or even price? I don't know anything about different paint brands, but my husband usually insists on Valspar.

Whatever I do, I stay away from Sherman Williams. Numerous reports have come out saying that the quality for the price is not worth it at all.

Valspar is a good brand and so is Behr. I saw Consumer Reports issue about paint last year and they really trashed Sherman Williams. It is almost time for the new report to come out.

Kilz and Behr are both great paints. I usually just go to the store and pick the color I want and then use the paint of the color swatch. Some paint is bad so I stay away from it.

I stick with Valspar too. It's too bad SW has gone so downhill. It used to be the number one paint company. Guess the competition is kicking their butts.

The only one I won't buy is Sherwin Williams. Other than that, I will usually buy the one I can find on sale. I buy a lot of paint when it comes on sale.

All paint is pretty much the same so there is no reason to pay a bundle for it. We usually use the store brands at the home improvement store.
