Default Plexiglass?

My best friends son has Autism and he has broken two windows in the past month. What makes it worse is he did it with his head. She is so afraid he will hurt himself. Do you think that they could replace the glass with Plexiglass as an alternative that might be safer?

I would replace the glass with plexiglass for the safety of the child. It only takes a small sliver of glass to get badly hurt. I would definitely do everything possible to protect the child.

As long as the plexiglass is cut to the right size it can be used to replace normal glass and just as safe. You might have to have a double layer of plexiglass with some air in between. This will keep it weatherized.

I never thought of double paining plexiglass. That does makes sense. The whole reason insulation works is by trapping air. Duh, thanks for the tip 4ofus.
