Default pricing per window

Is it best to get a quote for the entire house when replacing windows or would per window be better so you can shop around? When you are buying windows what is considering a bulk rate (how many windows)?

This is something you would have to decide on how much money you had to do this job. I'm sure when getting your estimates you could have them give you a price to do the whole house and if you didn't have enough to just do so many at a time. As to bulk, just check with home depot or where ever you plan to get your windows.

I do not think the brand stores give a discount based off of bulk. But I may be wrong. I know I needed 50 bags of peat moss, and neither Lowes or Home Depot offered me a discount. I even asked if there was one since I was ordering so much.

If you go with a contractor there may be.

I think there are some places that do replacement windows but I am not sure what the quality is. I would love to hear of a place that could use recycled materials though, we buy so much new stuff that we never realize what happens to the overflowing landfills full of all of the old stuff.
