Default Primitive Decor

I know some of the popular colors for a primitive decor are burgundy, tans, and a darker blue. Are there other colors that you could use for this decor?

Almost any color can be used as long as it's used properly. You need to make sure it's distressed after you put it on a piece. I love the aqua blue with the distressed finish. I really like to put the aqua blue on a piece of furniture and then put a top coat of ivory over it, then distress it.

Primitive to me is "old and antiqued", so I would stick with the colors you states. You can always sand anything down after painting and apply a light stain to it - this makes it look antique.

Some people take it a little too far and it comes out looking tacky. I am not a wiz when it comes to being creative but I can spot a bad job a mile away.

I'm just not a fan. I prefer clean and uncluttered. I would go nuts in a house with all of that stuff around me. It has to be organized and clean for me.
