Default Progress on stripping

We have about half of the kitchen stripped of the wallpaper. What a mess we are making and my back and arms are killing me. I’m using vinegar and warm water to try to loosen the paste. I can’t wait for this job to be over! Next step is to take down molding (floor, around doors and windows and ceiling) – then we have to put more drywall sealer or something up in places and sand. I don’t think it will ever be finished. My family reunion is on July 30th so have a goal date! Wish me luck! Just wanted to update and complain a bit J.

Letting off some steam and complaining when stripping wallpaper is certainly understandable. That's a hard job no matter how you do it, especially when you have a lot more to do when that's done. It helps to think about how good the room will look when you're done and how much you will enjoy it.

I'm glad to hear it's coming along. It is a hard job and that's why I've never put up paper at my place. It's amazing the things we get into when we start redoing our houses.

I wish the previous owners did not use wallpaper. They put one kind on the bottom half of the wall and another kind on the top half and then a border down the middle. What a mess - to top it off it was Roosters!

I need to get back to it! I stopped and went and mulched the flower beds and got the pool ready for summer. I need to get back on track though. Want to have the whole kitchen done by June 10th!
