I'd like to put some small skylights in the inner rooms that has smaller windows so we could save on electric bills. Any ideas about this?

Since they're small room with small windows, I would make the skylights approximately the same size as the existing windows. Doubling the amount of sunlight you get in your rooms will, at the least, save on your lighting bill.
