The soil in my flower beds is horrible! It's like a hard clay when it gets wet. I have put some potting soil and some compost in it and mixed it in but it's still not like I would like it. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to help improve the soil?
For clay, I would put peat moss it in. It will help. Other then that I would have to look through my books. I have the opposite problem. I've got sugar sand here. Drains like crazy. You dig a hole and it fills in with sand. Getting stuff to take hold is hard.
