Default Cell Phone For Main Phone?

How many people here use their cell phone for their main phone service in their homes? We live in an area where we have no cell phone service so we have to have a land line or we would rely on our cell phones totally.

Yeah I just have a cell phone. It's cheap-way cheaper than a land line. I get enough minutes that I never manage to use them all up, and I get unlimited texts too. My service is great, so I don't worry about not having a land line.

We have a land line and each of us have a cellphone. I can say that at home we will use the land line as the primary phone service. We use our cellphone just to call and send messages to other cellphone numbers.

We have both. But we have considered just using our cell phones. We have to cut expenses somehow. My husband and I share a cell phone. We have Metropcs. Unlimited calls and texts. We pay $40 a month.

We have both here at my house. We don't get the best reception where we live (we can use the cellphones upstairs and in the driveway). I cannot see getting rid of the home phone when the cell phone isn't that great up here.

I am looking to phase out my land line, but like others here I don't get good reception. Although I have heard of those reception boosters? Does anyone have experience with those?

When we moved into this area we were having a lot of problems with our cell phone service and my husband has to have a phone to get his jobs. We ended up getting a phone through the cable company. I am actually thinking of having it turned off because the cell phones have cleared up.

Before the wife my cell was my only phone. But the wife insisted on a home phone, so I had one ordered. It came through the cable company, which is nice because it displays who is calling on the TVs with cable boxes. I have yet to use the phone though.

Jason - That's cool that your caller ID comes up on your TV screens

We have only cell phones. I wanted to have a landline as well, but we seem to have the opposite problem at our house than most people - our cell phones work, but the landline phone company is totally unreliable. Our next door neighbors have the phone company out here about once a month. Until they solve whatever the problem is, I'll just stick with the cells.

We still have a land line, but I have been tempted many times to just cut it off and go with the cell. We've had our land line number for years and years and I'm afraid that someone might need to get a hold of us and not have our cell numbers. Silly, I know.
