Do you back up your photos with an online site? At one point we had all our pictures stored only on our computer and when a virus hit, we thought we might lose them. Thankfully, we were able to download them onto an online photo site. Now we have them all backed-up, but we are still going to keep that online account. How do you store all of your digital pictures?

Well, I did that too. However, I didn't go back to the site for a while and I learned they had deleted my account. I lost all of my photos on my computer AND my account at a website. Not a happy camper here.

I've learned my lesson when a virus hit my pc. I'm using picasa to back up my photos online. It's great because I can also share photos through it .

I use an external HD. It does an auto backup every month and stores all my photos, music and documents. I'd be concerned about an online site going out of business or something like that. At least I have control over my own things.

I'm bad about off site backup. I do however backup files to the "home server". This way the wife and I can share them.

I have never used anything to back up my pictures. I`m wondering, can you just put them onto a disc? Or Disk? I have lost pictures due to viruses before. You would think I learned lol.

I not only have all the good ones online (I use Winkflash and they have never deleted any of them) but I made DVDs of them and I have them locked up in a fireproof box. It is always a good idea to make a backup copy or two of them. I had some stored on an external hard drive and all of a sudden it stopped working and I have no way to get them now.

Otherwise I would be lost, and I have lost data once before, never again. |

I have my pics on my Facebook and Myspace accounts as well as on the memory cards they were originally on. I learned my lesson when I lost all my pics on my computer after having a virus. I like having them on my social networking sites because I can control who sees them.

I saved all my files, including pictures, into a DVD. I do this once a month so that I can have a back-up of all my important files every month. I don't want to store my pictures on websites because it might get deleted or might be used to other purposes by other people.
