Default Electric fencing

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to put a single strand of electric fence on the top of my brick wall for extra security?

How high is the wall? I would also look into local laws. You might have to put up signs stating that the fence is electric.

I would definitely look into the law to do this. I would also make sure that no kids could reach it and get shocked. You may take a chance in getting sued if someone does get shocked on your property.

The wall is about 3 and a half feet high and there is a "buffer zone" of about 2 feet of grass between the wall and the street. That is also my property and there is no sidewalk. I live in a rural "town" of about 3,000 that was just incorporated about 4 years ago, and I don't think there are any laws on the books yet about something like this. But I will check.
