Getting rid of them How do you get rid of appliances that were seldom used but unnecessary and just remain as clutter in your home? Should you give them away or resell them perhaps?

It really depends what they are. I either sell on EBay, if they are still in reasonable condition, or, if needing attention, I offer them on my local freecycle group where stuff is recycled free amongst people who have the time and the inclination to repair and refurbish.

I would either sell them on ebay or have a garage sale. If they weren't used much I'm sure they're still functioning well so you could probably get a few bucks for them.

We're having a yard sale soon. It's been raining cats and dogs here every weekend so my girlfriend and I are just waiting for a clear weekend so we can have it.

I would love to get rid of such things by selling, giving away or even throwing them. I just couldn't do it. I always get hard time sorting the things.

I've done both, but if the clutter is out of control, perhaps it is best to just get them out of there and donate them to the needy. If you are strapped for cash you can always try to sell them, but if you're anything like me....it will just clutter up another area...the "stuff I'm gonna sell one day " pile.

I have yet to have to get rid of any, I guess I am a little lucky there on that part but I would love the idea of being able to reuse them somehow. I hate the idea of waste.

For me, I just store them because I might use them at a latter time. I place them in my storage room so that I don't need to buy that kind of equipment when I needed it.

You can always look for your local freecycle group online if you want to give them away. There is also used appliance places that would probably pick them up for free if you were giving them away, they will refurbish and sell them.

If they work, sell them. If they don't, try to get them to a recycling center somehow. If you have a family member who need them, give the appliances to them.
