My husband watched one of those DIY network shows and caught one that had a tv hidden inside a kitchen counter top, now he wants to cut a hole in our island to make one. I would much rather pay someone to do it who has done it before, aren't they supposed to be done while the cabinets are being installed??

It would make it easier. Having to work around completed work can be a pain. I did not see the episode so I cannot really comment on how well it will work.

I think as long as you have the exact dimensions right it will be okay, but then again its tricky to try and start with existing wood too. How handy are you?
