Lightbulb Laptop monitor

My laptop's monitor would not show anything on when it is turned on. It remains a black screen, even if I adjust the brightness and contrast. What happened to it?

Try to attach your laptop to a monitor and see if it works. If it does there is something wrong with your laptop monitor. If it does not work, something maybe wrong with your laptop hardware.

That's good advice. There might be something wrong with the monitor or the VGA card. Either way, I think you need to take the laptop for repair.

I know that last week newegg was having a crazy sale of all sorts and there were a few monitors that caught my eye, maybe check there just in case they still have the sale going on.

Sadly, the one I want is almost 900.00. I think I will wait until the price drops.

I had this happen with an older laptop I had and it turned out to be just the monitor. The computer itself was still working fine, but I had to hook it up to an external monitor to see anything. I would have replaced the screen, but the thing was so darn old I didn't want to bother.
