Default MS Word 2007

I bought a new computer last month and it came with Word 2007. I use Word everyday and I do not like this version at all. I'm a creature of habit and this program is just turning me off.

I think that a lot of people usually do not like such drastic changes in any program but believe me: when you learn to work with the new version again it will be a lot faster and you will love it.

I use another program, but if you don't learn to love it, usually you can go back to a previous version. I know a lot of folks who do that.

I am the same way, I don't like change. You should be able to remove it and put on an earlier version if that is what you prefer. I know there is a free program out there as well called Open Office, you could check that out as well.

I'm having a friend install the older version of Word for me this weekend - thank goodness.

Craftymama - I tried Open Office, but it doesn't seem to properly format my tables, bullets, etc when saved as a .doc. Plus, I don't like that program anyway. It all goes back to being a creature of habit, I guess

I actually really like the changes that have been made to Word, but I can understand why others wouldn't. The only really annoying problem I've encountered is that when I run a Google search on how to do something in Word, a lot of the results apply to past versions and not the 2007 edition.

I find the Office 2003 easier to use than the 2007 version and some of my clients request that the documents I send to them be in 2003 version. Thank God I have a converter, but I do not know where it came from. LOL!
