Default Netflix Price Increases?

I use Netflix streaming services but I also have movies delivered to me. The only problem is the price increase has doubled our charges since the price increase. Another problem is streaming service doesn't have the newest movies. We wind up renting more from Redbox so we can see some of the newest stuff.

I have Netflix too and am doing pretty much the same thing. Because of the Netflix prices increasing I decided to decrease from 2 discs at a time to 1 so I could have that and streaming at the same time. It's such a pain. I hear they lost a million customers or something like that.

One of my biggest complaints is Netflix's lack of good movies for streaming. I considered canceling with the latest price hike but I might wait and see what happens. I hear a lot have canceled.

I hear that now, not only have they increased the prices but they are going to separate the 2 services completely. The mail DVDs are going to be part of "Qwikster" or something like that. Sounds like a dumb idea to me.

Yeah, they have sent out letters admiting they made a mistake and that they were separating the tow services. I also heard that Netflix is losing the Starz movies in a few months to BlockBuster. That's most of the new movies that are on Netflix streaming. Now that they've decided to split the two, I will be reevaluating my usage.

I was just about to sign up with Netflix when they did the price increase. I've read about so many complaints in the past couple weeks that I decided not to do it. Not only did they lose a million existing customers, but now they're not getting my new business.

How many have considered switching to Blockbuster? Is that service any better? If the price is right and they are still mailing out DVDs do you think that is a better option?

And does anybody know when the change is going to happen?

I'm thinking about just trying amazon.com out. They have free streaming of movies if you are a prime member.

I didn't know that Amazon had a service like that. I'm looking for another way to watch movies now so that might be an option for me. I'll check it out.
