Does anyone know what the newest computers are and what they're capable of? I'm probably not going to replace mine for a while, but I haven't been keeping up with the lasted technology.

There are a lot of choices right now, and soon there will be more. For example, a Google Chromebook is a netbook that is for people who use the internet a lot. It has a new operating system and is faster for web work. The downside is that you have to use offline apps because you do not get software per say.

Are you interested in a desk top, laptop, netbook or tablet? There are a lot of new types of computers out there, each with their own pros and cons.

Oh yes, I've heard of this Google Chromebook. I saw a video describing the general features of this netbook. You get to save your files online, so it saves you from losing your files due to virus or any other hardware or software malfunction.

Most times I just build mine to the specifications that I actualy need it for, if you are not sure you can always check with a local comp shop that has a friendly (and not sales harping) staff.

I am not getting a new one anytime soon, but I am upgrading (finally) to a new iPhone.

I have not even paid any attention to this is so long if you saw our house you would fully understand. We are true and true geeks here and in our home office have two monitors per desk and at least 2 computer per adult. We don't need another one.

Asus will also be making Chromebooks. Another one is the Amazon Tablets, I think they are going to be like fancy e-books and can do some internet stuff. That will be out in a couple of months.

I would like to know this myself. Though, I think we do not need to worry about it right now, unless planning on buying immediately. Technology changes so fast. I would love to get a tablet computer but do not know exactly how they work. Maybe when I'm ready to buy they will be better.
