Default phone cameras

How important is your camera on your phone to you? I have a new phone that I love, and I picked it out because of its camera capabilities. The phone though, it turns out, sucks. I can't decide whether or not to get something different.

Really the camera is not important. It has a CMOS sensor and so scans down the image and can cause some pretty funky effects, so I carry a real camera and only use it in emergencies.

Mine has only a few pics on it and already it's memory is full. I have to either delete a few pics or send them to my pc and it won't even let me do that because of the lack of memory. I just don't like the camera on the phone, at least on mine. You're right, the phone part just doesn't work correctly.

I've been pretty happy with my phone all around, camera and all. I have an LG NV3 and it seems to work fairly well. Have you gone back to the store where you got it and checked with them?

I hardly ever use the camera on my phone. The phone is old now so neither the phone or the camera is working well. The camera does come in handy when it works though.

What do you mean by CMOS sensor and funky effects? I haven't heard of this before. I like having the convenience of a camera with my phone, I just wish it worked still!

Oddly I carry a camera with me everywhere I go. Made the mistake once of going to the grocery store and someone hit my car when it was parked and I was unable to take photos until I got home (insurance whined about it). I do not carry a cell, but if I did again, it would have a cam on it (to avoid carrying two).

I have a Samsung and I just got the "full memory" warning the other day. I have 206 pictures on it Going back about a couple years ago I didn't think a camera phone was all that important, but now that I have one, I use it a lot.

I usually have a small easy share camera with me in my purse. I don't think my phone takes that great of pictures either, but it's ok. I like my phone because it has the full keyboard and it's great to text with.

I like having a camera on my phone. Unfortunately, I didn't know how much until I realized how difficult my new phone camera is too use. I really didn't play with it enough before I bought it. I'll pay more attention when I get ready to buy my next phone.
