I play a few Facebook games to while away the time, including the Sims Social but lately Shockwave Player has been crashing in whatever browser I use. Is this happening to anyone else?

Have you tried Googling it? Whenever something goes wrong with my computer's hardware or software, I ask a question in Google. Usually someone else has asked the same thing and there are a load of answers.

My browsers do that occasionally. It's usually because I have too much running at the same time. I need to increase the RAM in my machine because it's about a year old and I usually have a ton of stuff on it.

I agree. How old is your computer? Have you tried shutting down all of your running programmes? These games can get very involved and use a lot of script so need a lean system to work well.
