Default Size TV for a kids room?

What do you think is the right size TV for a kids room? Or do you think they should not have 1 in their room? My daughter is 13 and she has a 19 inch flat screen TV with DVR combo. My cousin is saying it's too small and is getting her kids a bigger one for their rooms? I think it's fine!

I grew up in a cash strapped family, so I had something like a 13 inch TV, but I was just happy to have anything in there at all. Seriously though, I don't see why any kid would need something larger than like a 19 inch set, but this is a poor person talking

I don't see why any kid should have a tv in their room. My kids have asked for a tv in their room and I've told them no. I believe it just causes them to isolate themselves instead of spending time interacting with the family.

Well, I don't think that giving a kid a TV isolates them so much, but it certainly is capable of causing other problems, especially if you have more than one child, and then they all fight over the TV set.

My girls all share a room and there is a TV in there. They have a 19 inch/VCR/DVD combo. I like that if I want to watch something in the living room they can go in there to watch something. They don't watch a lot of TV but it's nice that we are able to afford that for them.

I have four kids and they have to learn how to work with each other when it comes to watching the tv in the living room. Sometimes my wife and I have to step in and referee but we figure the boys are learning the skill of working things out.

I think that it's a great plan to make the kids work with each other by watching the tv in the living room or the family room. I don't like them having it in their bedrooms.

I think 19 inches is plenty big enough for a kids room. I think I had a 13 inch tv in my room as a kid and I didn't get that until my late teens.
