I bought my husband a Sony receiver for Christmas and someone told me today they think Sony's quality has deteriorated over the past decade. I always thought Sony was a reliable brand. Now I'm worried that I bought my husband a crappy receiver. What are your thoughts on Sony?

We still have a few things from Sony that are older but work amazing, I think the only thing we have recently bought of their band is the set of speakers in the living room. They are the "about" waist high ones that work amazing when it comes to movies.
