I was visiting somewhere recently where I did not have internet connection, I was able to get on to the internet a few times, I am not sure what harm I could have done.

If you are a hacker then you could have stolen information that was sent across the network. If you're an average user, then all you've done is use a service that you didn't pay for.

The neighbors have wireless internet and my laptop keeps picking them up, so I get free accesss anytime. I don't know if they know I'm taking a free ride.

I need to get wireless in my house. My kids want a laptop but we aren't set up for wireless. I'm in the country too so I'm sure no one has it close enough to me for me to piggy back off them.

Our 3 boys have wireless and their own internet account. My oldest pays for it. We just let our service provider install so when we have problems they fix it free. I have a cable modem for my PC. My sons friend can bring his laptop over and connect to their wireless.

We don't have wireless yet but I hope we can get it set up soon. Most of our neighbors are elderly so I kind of doubt any of them have it.

Now that I am back home I think I will install wireless at home because there are many times my hubby and I want to use the internet at the same time.

I think since more and more people have laptops, a wireless connection makes the most sense. I have a workstation at home but find that I spend more time on my laptops than on the workstation.

I set up a wireless network with help from the company I bought the router from. I don't know why it wouldn't go ahead and let me set it up but there was a glitch somewhere and I had to call them. I have to say, they were very, very helpful!
