We had a huge tree out back that was in between the electric lines going to our house. The tree was dead and the only thing holding it up was the electric lines. We had called the electric company at least 6 times in the last year to come and take the lines down so we could get the tree out. They showed up and took the lines down and cut it too!
We were all cleaning up the mess this morning. What a mess it was but I'm glad it's done!
Wow - I'm glad they finally came! It's too bad it took so long. It sounds like a bad windstorm and you would have had a problem! It's cool that they cut it down themselves though!
Oh yes, that sounded like a dangerous situation. What if the lines got hit by lightening? There could have been a whopping fire. I know most local power companies will come out and trim or cut down trees if they present a hazard, but I thought it would be faster than a year!
If you have to call them more than once you need to beef up the story, as in "its leaning towards the house and I have small kids plus its sparking". There is no way I could be that patient towards the company if it took 1/2 a dozen times. You must have the patience of a Saint!
