We put out a few tomato plants and a row of string beans for our mini garden this year. When we first put it out, it got drowned out. We planted again and got new tomato plants to put out and then it was overrun by a flash flood. We tried yet again and it got so dry it dried everything up. So, we put out stuff again. The other night we had another flash flood. I just give up. I'm going to the farmer's market instead : /

Oh my that does sound a bit frustrating! Is there a way you can do some container gardening? That way you could keep them up somewhere so they wouldn't get flooded on the ground or rig a tarp or something over them. You just have to get more creative!
