Default Growing Herbs

I would really like to start an herb garden this Spring, what are some really easy ones to grow? I really want some that I can use for home remedies and aromatherapy.

I'm not sure about the home remedy part, but when I think of aromatherapy I think of lavender. I used to have a couple of lavender plants in my garden and they were pretty low maintenance. Other herbs that I grow (for cooking purposes) are Italian parsley, basil, and rosemary. As long as you stay on top of watering them, they should do quite well.

Basil is just the best to grow. You can grow it on your window box, inside the window even and so protect it from the cold. Harvest what you want to use to cook with, and it keeps growing beautifully. Mostly-it smells gorgeous! The whole room smells wonderful.
