Default Lighting up your garden

How do you add light to your garden? I like to hang out in my garden and on my deck at night and I am looking for some lighting ideas.

I have several small oil lanterns that are safely hung on hooks or set on tables. It's not for everybody, but I like the ambiance. Inexpensive too.

I like the solar lights, for a soft lighting. No added electricity needed, they last for so long, and they are pretty. I do hanging lanterns for special events, just not everyday use.

We installed mini lights along the fence around the garden. They are a very soft glow, but it is my favorite place to be on a Spring night. Very pretty and easy solution to our lighting problem!

Some of my plants have lights, and others don't. The ones that are outside typically don't need light because they get plenty of it during the day and I find it a waste of energy.

Do you think it would be cheesy to use Christmas lights? I have some just lying around, they are LED ones and they are clear lights.
