Did you know you can use black and white newspaper in layers as weed block? You don't have to use an expensive roll of weed block fabric when you probably have tons of newspapers sitting at the ready in your house. Just use about 10 layers of newspaper under your dirt and it blocks weeds for the season. Next season, the newspaper will be gone and you can use newspaper again to do the same thing. It makes your soil rich and moist for your flowers or veggies!
