Default Riding Lawn Mowers?

I need to buy another riding lawn mower and I've heard this time of the year is the perfect time to buy because a lot of retailers are trying to unload them for the winter months. The only thing I can't decide is, do I want a regular rider or a zero turn mower? They both have their good and bad points but what is your experience?

I like the zero turn type mowers. They are quick and you can cover a lot of ground quickly with them. It takes no time at all to mow your lawn then. The only thing about these is that the zero turn mowers are more expensive than the riders, but they are usually less apt to break down and will last longer.

I don't have much of a yard, but it does take some time so I have a rider. I really like my John Deere rider and it does extremely well for me. I haven't had to have it serviced too much and I've had it for five years.

We have a Troy Bilt and although my husband says he likes it, the thing is constantly needing work done to it. I would go with a zero turn if you can get your hands on one for a good price.

We have a zero turn and it's the best. We have owned both and I'm telling you our Zero-turn was our best investment. It cut the mowing time in half. If you have a lot of yard then I would suggest a zero turn too.

I say it totally depends on how big your yard is. If it's not a big yard then a regular rider would be fine and it's a lot cheaper. If you have a large yard then you might want to look at the zero turn.
